The Hydrocephalus Association was founded in 1983 by the parents of children with hydrocephalus, a complex condition caused by excess accumulation of cerebrospinal fluid on the brain.
In their resources guide, they recommend that people with hydrocephalus wear an engraved medical ID with important medical conditions: food and drug allergies, prescribed medicines, and emergency contacts.
